The picture is building. Here’s a another few hours work with a break to work out how the windows 8 computer works. Not bad. Shame the other one croaked as its only a couple of years old. Did you know that you don’t turn a windows 8 machine? You just shut the lid to out it onto hibernate! Anyway, I’ve now added in a robe and crown for each ‘child’ pointing to the sense of royalty and cover that awaits each child of God. So I think I have the full image, unless something else occurs as I draw. The final door leading into the rock of Christ. The pathway which is linked to all other pathways, though each one soon winds to of sight. The robe and crown, the trees that intersect as community, but the sense of isolation within the womb itself, yet the connectedness to everything else, much as a mother is connected to her community, therefore the child that grows inside her is both isolated and connected.
There’s a sense of protectedness there. A place of strength and age. It picks up on the verses such as psalm 139: tip you saw me knit together in my mothers womb.
Here also we see this sense of growing into the transformed oneness in Christ. Theosis.
This picture is one of growth and journey.
I will put up the full commentary for the reflection when all this is finished, but for now, my understanding of spirituality is this growth.
