I have to choose three Lancashire scenes to complete as watercolours.
Since light and shadow are the bedrocks of any picture, I did the work in black and white first. If you saw the original shot, the tones of black and white don’t really exist so good because it was a dull day and lots of subdued blues and greens. Doing the tonal study first means I can work out the problems first.
