Tate Liverpool Drawing Illustration…
There was this day, when I took a bunch of people to the Tate gallery in Liverpool to practice their drawing skills in the gallery there. Then over to the museum (the new docklands museum in Liverpool) to see the stuff there.
I, of course, took photographs for reference, because i had in mind a piece of art I wanted to create. Or rather, a doodle. And this is it. Why a doodle? Well its more of a meander than anything planned!
Stats:
Pencil work only to help me get the perspective right on the lettering for the Anfield gates
Other than that, just inkpen, no predrawing – live with the mistakes!
over 40 hours of work
Final size, A4
Please like my page on facebook/doodleopus. Don’t forget, click ‘like’ a second time and choose ‘get notifications’. I will be running competitions to win originals of my artwork as well as artists materials. You can also ask me any technique questions, or about how I go about the art.
