Description
The image shows our iconic castle in the town, and the silhouette of the statue of the soldier at our Cenotaph. Our remembrance day is very important in Clitheroe, bringing the town to a standstill as we remember those who fought and continue to give their lives for our freedom. But not to glorify war, but reflect on the tragedy it is, but how necessary it sometimes becomes. There are tears.
I wanted to capture this simply and have set the red of poppy against the green of our landscape to recall the significance we feel.
