In our town of Clitheroe, Lancashire, we are no different to many other places in which folks, for one reason or another, find themselves without food. Often this is a result of lack of work, or benefit cuts, so many people are living close to the edge now.
For those who find themselves in these situations it is hard, and they support to tide them over. We intend setting up a food bank (read this BBC report on foodbanks) but that costs money, and a place to run it. There are talks to work out the second, but the money estimation is it will need £3000 to get things running.
