I completed this a couple of years back.  A colour illustration of a robot, wishing that he wasn’t just a pile of junk.  Many of my images are quite dark, if not in theme then in production.  I like the high dynamic range that is possible.

Even if I am not completing an image for use in churches I find that I create something that is of a spiritual nature.  This robot is a discarded automaton…wishing that things could have been brighter as he smells the flower which is temporary.  As I painted him, I considered that he was eternal, yet had been discarded; the flower temporary yet beautiful.  Matthew 6.28
